In short

Everhold buys independent property and casualty agency books in Arizona. The free Book Sale Preview estimates a range for your book from retention, book mix, client tenure, carrier concentration, and revenue trend, and shows an example payment schedule on Everhold's published terms. It takes about two minutes, it's confidential, and it isn't an offer.

  • The preview places a book between 1.5x and 3x of annual P&C commission, before due diligence.
  • Published terms: 10% to 20% at closing, then the balance monthly over 5 to 7 years at 10% interest.
  • A proof of funds letter comes before you send any book data, and a letter of intent within 7 days of receiving it.
  • P&C only. Life, health, and Medicare commission isn't part of the range.

After the sale

How your clients will be served.

Price matters, but most owners care more about what happens to the people they've served for years. Here is exactly what each of your clients gets.

A letter from you, then a call

Your clients hear about the handoff from you first. We plan who calls whom, and when, together.

Their own Portfolio Ledger

Every client gets a free Ledger: every policy, carrier, and renewal date on one screen, with any gaps flagged and explained in plain English.

The 90/60/30 Renewal Protocol

An email 90 days before each renewal, a market update at 60, and a call at 30 with shopped options in hand. Nobody gets surprised by a bill.

See what a Ledger looks like on our investor page. On a confidential call, we'll walk you through one live.

Before you start

What to know.

  • This is an estimate, not an offer or an appraisal. Final terms depend on due diligence, and other buyers may see your book differently.
  • It is only as accurate as the numbers you enter.
  • Most of the price is paid over time. Part of it can be tied to how many of your clients stay.
  • A seller note means you finance part of the price. Ask your attorney and CPA about security and taxes before you agree to anything.
  • Everhold buys P&C books. Life, health, and Medicare are not part of what we buy.
  • Everhold is licensed in Arizona. If your book is in another state, we confirm licensing for that state before any agreement and tell you plainly where we stand.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers.

Is it really free and confidential?

Yes. We use what you send only to prepare your preview and respond to you.

Will you call me?

Only if you check the box or book a call. Otherwise we use email.

Do I have to be ready to sell?

No. Many owners run it to see their options.

Can I sell only part of my book?

Yes. Partial books are welcome.

How do I know you can pay?

Before you send any book data, we give you a proof of funds letter for the cash at closing. Once we have your book data, you'll have a letter of intent within 7 days.

How is the range calculated?

From your numbers. Retention, book mix, client tenure, carrier concentration, and revenue trend place you between 1.5x and 3x of annual P&C commission. Due diligence on your real statements confirms or changes it.

How are P&C agency books valued?

In Everhold's Book Sale Preview, a book is valued as a multiple of annual P&C commission, from 1.5x to 3x. Retention, book mix, client tenure, carrier concentration, and revenue trend move the multiple, and due diligence on your real statements confirms the final number.

What is seller carry financing?

Seller carry financing means the buyer pays part of the price at closing and pays you the rest over time under a note. On Everhold's published terms, that's 10% to 20% at closing and the balance monthly over 5 to 7 years at 10% interest.

What affects the multiple?

In the preview, retention moves the multiple the most, then commercial lines share, client tenure, carrier concentration, and revenue trend. Strong retention can add up to 0.5x, while a declining trend or heavy concentration with one carrier lowers it.

Do you buy books outside Arizona?

Everhold focuses on Arizona books. If your book is in another state, we confirm licensing there before any agreement and tell you plainly where we stand.

Do you buy life and health books?

No. Everhold buys P&C books only. If part of your book is life, health, or Medicare, the preview figures your range on the P&C share.

About two minutes. Free, confidential, and no call required.
